As an electrical engineer I'm still involved with electronics and software. I mostly do "circuits of convenience" anymore with an emphasis on embedded systems.
Avionics
I'm an active pilot (ultralights) with a hanger at Delta Blake field (AJZ). I've designed some instruments for my 1983 Eipper Quicksilver MX and other amateur-built experimental planes.
Artificial Horizon
This small unit (1.28" round touchscreen display) has two modes: "Russian" mode on the left where the
airplane wings are fixed and the horizon moves and "Dynon" mode on the right where the horizon is fixed and
the diamond wings move. You tap the display to go between them. Very cute unit but not needed on an ultralight.
Bubbles the Dog
Bubbles was a testbed for trying out the ESP-NOW networking system.
