About ExoMolding
ExoMolding was formed in 2025 in Grand Junction, Colorado to make low temperature molds and the products that come from them.
Our Vision
Epoxy resin has many desirable properties. It can be completely transparent, tinted to some translucent color or opaque. Holographic glitters can be added for great looks. It does not melt at moderate temperatures as do most extruded thermoplastics.
You will see a lot of resin used these days in "River Pours", we don't do that.
Our Mission
Plastic injection molds are usually EDM machined out of steel. As such they can be quite expensive and take a month or more to get finished. The molds we make can be ready the same day. Think: rapid prototyping with durability, locally produced.
These molds are also suitable for chocolate. Here is one we made for the GJ minor league baseball team that Enstrom poured for us:

Our Future
Money isn't the prime factor here. Yes, we need enough to keep the lights on but learning and making things are front and center. Growth and expansion are considered but are down the list. We like to help nonprofits and young people.

Mold Lifespans
Mold life depends on the type of mold, the durometer of rubber that was used to make it and the difficulty of removing the final part from the mold. This shell mold is over 10 years old and shows its age . It has produced over 100 parts and is still going strong.
